"Detoxification" is more accurately defined as the mobilization and elimination of waste, toxins, pathogens, and other unwanted debris from your body.

Detox and clean the body naturally

Traditional Detoxification

Detoxification refers to the natural process of removing toxins, waste, and excess buildup from the body through proper elimination and cleansing of vital organs.

In today’s world of chemicals, processed food, and environmental stressors, gentle seasonal detoxification has been traditionally used to support balance, vitality, and organ function.

Why Detox?

According to Ayurveda, toxins (Ama) accumulate in the tissues, disrupting digestion, energy, and clarity. A proper detox:

  • Supports the lymphatic system and immune strength

  • Promotes clear skin and joint comfort

  • Encourages regular elimination and digestive health

  • Helps restore liver and kidney function naturally

  • Can be used to maintain long-term balance and clarity

Key Elements of an Effective Detox

Many modern “cleanses” are too extreme or ineffective. A time-tested detox includes:

  • Cleansing the colon

  • Supporting liver and gallbladder function

  • Flushing the kidneys and bladder

  • Stimulating lymphatic movement

  • Rebalancing digestive fire (Agni)

Each detox should be tailored to your constitution (dosha), season, current condition, and goals.

What I Offer

My detox programs combine:

  • Gentle Ayurvedic diets

  • Traditional herbal formulas

  • Supportive home remedies and teas

  • Guidance specific to your imbalances and body type

These programs are designed to be sustainable, effective, and safe—no starvation, sugar crashes, or extreme restrictions.

Common Detox Focus Areas

  • Colon cleansing – for sluggish digestion or heaviness

  • Liver and gallbladder flush – for fat metabolism and bile flow

  • Kidney and bladder support – for urinary clarity and water balance

  • Heavy metal detox – for cognitive clarity and long-term vitality

A Real Detox Includes Real Food

A proper detox is not about pills or gimmicks. Ayurveda recommends:

  • Fresh, warm foods (like mung beans, cooked vegetables, and light grains)

  • Herbs traditionally used to support elimination and purification

  • Enough protein to safely support liver function

Juice fasts may be useful short-term but are not suitable for extended cleansing.

Success stories

John Whyte, Ojai

I first sought out Khabir's help as I was feeling effects that often coincide with over exposure to heavy metals. I was feeling dizziness, lightheaded, metallic tastes, slight depression and disruption in sleep. We completed a full detox of the liver and gallbladder. I can say that since completion, the symptoms are gone. I'm sleeping better and my focus is back and sharp. Due to the mass amounts of heavy metals that are put in our atmosphere thru ground and airborne aerosols, we all need to detox just to keep our body running properly. Thanks Khabir!

Janice Lorber, Santa Barbara

I want to thank you again for encouraging me to do the liver cleanse. I have felt more energy and enthusiasm for life than ever since the liver cleanse. No more sluggishness, long afternoon naps, and desire for greasy foods. I feel the cleanse has changed my life. I was not sick to begin with and now I look forward to leading an EVEN MORE energetic life in my golden years. Thank you for all of your advise and support. You were always there for me whenever I called with a question and your encouragement kept me going. Thank you so much. Sincerely

Sarah Uma, Santa Barbara

Thank you Khabir for being a model of holistic healing! Working with Khabir has been a delight. I had great success with one of his herb teas that balanced my kidneys relieving so many symptoms and his consistent loving support through a colon cleanse added to my healing.
